Mini Me

I really wish I had a picture that I could post that could fully illustrate what I am about to write. I also wish that I was a better writer so that I could fully articulate the hilarity of the following stories.

Chloe and I have been working on potty training. We are in no rush, but she has expressed some interest, so we got a little potty that sits in our living room. When she goes pee or poo in the potty, we make a really big deal. We give high fives, we jump up and down, we even dance. There is a little song that says “you get the pee pee candy”, which is a single m&m. If she does not go to the bathroom, then she does not get pee pee candy…get the idea? So I walked in the other day to find that her stuffed curious george is on the potty. She was there with a book “reading” to him, and then she proceeded to look between his legs and said “no pee pee?”. So she waited a second and looked again. I guess what she saw was unsatisfactory, cause she pointed to the jar of “pee pee candy” and told him that he was not getting any. I was really laughing.

Seriously though, what I am about to tell you is by no means a surprise. I was just so amused by the exactness of her recount, I just was crying in tears.

so she and I are playing in her room, and Atticus was taking a snooze on her bed. She gets up and decides that George (the same curious George doll) needs to eat. She grabs my boppy pillow and puts it on her lap. She then proceeds to pull up her shirt and let George “eat”. After a few seconds, she says to him “All done? Switch sides” so she flips him over and does it on the other side. Then she picks him up to her shoulder and starts to pat his back. Until finally I hear a gutteral “eugh” sound. George had burped!

I was laughing so hard…all very silently of course! She is watching me very closely…yikes!
